We are a class of fun loving children who are enthusiastic about learning. We really enjoy P.E and take as many opportunities to get sporty as we can.

English
Year 6 have been reading A Monster Calls as our class book. We have used our reading comprehension skills to delve deeper into it. The story includes a monstrous Yew tree, so in English we have been writing poems using a variety of English techniques including pathetic fallacy, personification and onomatopoeia.
Geography/Science
As our cultural capital focus, we have been looking a greenhouse gases and the role that trees play in this.
Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural development
As part of our SMSC, we will look at Fair Trade, and how this supports tree planting in less-developed world areas.
Topic/History
In History, our Mayan civilisation topic involves looking at the rainforest.
